1 Day Program

[Under Construction]

About the Program

The only thing you need to bring to the Study Session is a GOOD ATTITUDE. We’ll take it from there.

The Study Session is NOT a class. We break up the one-day session into six 45-minute segments. Then we break up the freely-available Technician question pool into six sets of questions with the correct answers provided. During each 45-minute segment, the student reads through one of the six sets of questions, reading the question and only the correct answer.

At the end of each segment, all students take a mandatory 15-minute break. This way, the student efficiently focuses on studying for 45 minutes, while minimizing study fatigue with the breaks. The day continues in this manner until all six sets of questions have been reviewed.

After the final break, the examination is administered. Since the examination MUST pull the questions from the question pool, the method works very well – the student, using short-term memory, is able to recognize the correct answers on the exam.

According to the www.w6nbc.com website, this program has an excellent success rate that “…has NEVER been less than 85%” in over one hundred sessions. By the way, we send our thanks to John Portune, W6NBC, and his reverent team of Volunteer Examiners, for the motivation and hard work, upon which we base this program in the Moreno Valley area.

IMPORTANT! Bring these items to the Examination:
1. Social Security Number or “FRN” number
2. Picture I.D.
3. $25 for the Study-and-Exam Session (8:30 a.m. sharp); $14 for the Exam-only session (4 p.m.)
4. Documentation of old licenses or proof of exam (CSCEs or the actual license) if you're upgrading.
5. Calculator, if you need one (clear all memories)
6. Something to write with…pencil or black/blue pen
