CLINT DAGUE, NR6T
Originally an Ohio farm boy, Clint NR6T developed an interest in electronics and ham radio
playing with his father’s old military shortwave receiver. Having moved to California in 1982, over the years
Clint kept his fingers in electronics as a hobby, and along the way earned an A.S. degree in Electronics Engineering
Technology from Santa Barbara City College (1995), a B.S. degree in Industrial Technology (1998) from Cal Poly State
University, San Luis Obispo, and an M.S. degree in Industrial and Technical Studies (2004), also from Cal Poly.
However, it was not until the San Simeon earthquake (Dec. 2003) that Clint decided to pursue ham radio as a viable
alternative to “normal communications media.” Originally licensed as KG6TZL in February 2004, Clint upgraded to
General in February ‘05, and then to Extra in September ‘05, finally changing his call to NR6T in January 2006.
Clint began volunteering with ARES and RACES, as well as with the American Red Cross in San Luis Obispo County.
In 2005, he moved with his family to Moreno Valley and almost immediately started volunteering with both the
Riverside County ARC Chapter and the City of Moreno Valley RACES Team.
